Hello. I’m Mija and I’m 16 years old teenager from Slovenia.
I live in a small village named Trebizani. I am on high school now, on gymnasium. My school is about 24 kilometrs far away from Sezana, where my school is. So I have to take public transport, bus, to get to my school.
One day our english teacher told us about calculating Carbon Footprint. So we did it. My footprint is a little bit lower than footprint in our country. At transport my average is almost the same as in my country is. But the average at home is a little bit higher. I think my problem is that I don’t turn off the lights when I leave the room. My average at food is pretty lower than average in Slovenia. And the last thing that is pretty surprising to me, that the my purchases are lower than average in my country.
I think the Carbon Footprint is good to tell us what are we doing wrong, and to improve ourselves about “being green”.
