I recently read an artice about how Ireland began to charge a fee of $.15 for all plastic bags. This happened after they were using about 1.2 billion bags per yearr. Results included the use of many reusable grocery bags, reduction of litter, and conservation of many gallons of oil from being used to make the plastic one-time use bags. I think that other countries need to start doing the same thing, especially the United States, because after all we do have the highest carbon footprint.
