Hi!
I’m Eva and I’m from Slovenia. I thought that my footprint would be lower than the average person in Slovenia, but I was wrong. When I have done the test of Carbon footprint, it showed that my CO2 footprint is higher as the average person in Slovenia.I think that this is because we primarily heat our home with a wood. My transport footprint is higher because I live 30 km from the school and I have to take the bus to get to school 5 days a week, (so,I can´t walk). I think that CO2 calculator is good, because it show us what we are doing wrong and in the future I´ll try to get it lower.

i believe that yes, the global climate change is real. There has been so many things changing here recently. But it is also depending on where you are. if you are living in the city it is generally warmer than living in the country. Fact of the matter is that pollution does affect the temperature. But it is so slight that other factors could be causing this change more than pollution.

Hello everyone!
After I got results of the carbon footprint survey I realized that everything we do affects the environment around us and that we must act quickly if we want to reduce the negative impact of our daily routines!
I remember that I took a walk with my mother as a child. I threw a piece of paper on a meadow and she picked it up and told me not do it again. I asked her what difference that paper makes. And she answered me: “Can you imagine what would happen if every person in the world thought like you? And now I am scared even to think about such a possibility. We must constantly remind us to reduce, reuse, recycle or upcycle!
We shouldn’t forget to turn the lights, computer and TV off if we don’t need them. And of course those 3 minutes of running water while we are brushing our teeth mean a lot! We could all do something – we can say no to plastic bags and use cloth grocery bags, at least. We should think green. We only need goodwill! :)
(Here is an interesting story about an unusual chandelier in the White House:

hello, my name is Mohamed I’m from egypt. I am 15 years old and live 30km from school. I thought my footprint would be more than average, which i was. my foot print was 11243 kg of CO2 per year, while the average of any other egyptian is 3353 kg of CO2 per year. i was very surprised that i was so far apart from the average because i always closed the light when i leave. after seeing that I’m so unfriendly to the environment i will try changing the way i do stuff. i cloud lower my carbon footprint by using more public transportation. and get a bio fueled car.

Hello, my name is Jaka and I`m from Slovenia. I am 16 years old and I live in a small village 25 km away from school. I thought my carboon footprint will be around slovenian average. And I was right. My total footprint is 7026 kg, average in Slovenia is 7362. But I was suprised that my footprint at home was over average of Slovenia. So, I decided to be even more careful on turning off the lights everytime i leave the room, turn off water if I don`t need it and so on.

Hi, my name is Medina and I am 16 years old. I go to gymnasium in my home town and I also go to Conservatory of Music in capital Ljubljana which is about 80 km away. And there is the biggest problem why my carbon footprint is over average of my country. I have to go in Ljubljana twice a week. After calculating my carbon footprint I was a little bit surprised of results and I decided to be more careful on not polluting environment.

Based on my input, my total footprint is 15668 kg of CO2 per year. I was very shocked when I saw this number and I decided to give more attention to this.

Eva P-Slovenia today
I'll try to take public transport instead of using a car and I’ll try to spare water and electricity, too.

Hello everybody. I’m Nina Mohorčič from Slovenia. I’m 15 years old and I live in a small town, called Sežana. I live only few minutes from school so I go to school by walk everyday. When I go to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia or in Koper I usually use public transport (train or bus). Sežana is a small town and everywhere we have to go we go by walk. We don’t have so many ways of public transport like in the bigger cities. My CO2 footprint is the same as the average person in Slovenia and lower as the average human. Based on my input is my total footprint 7895 kg CO2 per year, compared to an average of 7362 kg for Slovenia, and 3791 kg (=8358 lb) worldwide. I’m happy that my carbon footprint isn’t too high and I hope that it will stay the same.
