Renowned Sixties pop artist Gerald Laing is launching an exhibition of paintings and drawings documenting the public image of the late singer Amy Winehouse. Fifty years ago Laing became famous for his iconic images of Brigitte Bardot and Anna Karina before turning his hand to sculpture. His picture of Winehouse kissing then husband Blake Fielder Civil was the first in a series of paintings he produced of the singer. The complete collection of paintings and drawings goes on display at Thomas Gibson Fine Art in London’s Mayfair from October 11th.
