When I was calculating my carbon footprint I noticed that my transportation and home were way above average. I knew that my transportion was going to be above average because this summer I went on a trip to Paris, France. I also traveled to visit my sister in Austin, Texas a few times. I did not think my home would be so high, but when I calculated how many light bulbs i have there ended up being 181. I had no idea I had so many. It is my goal now to make sure every light is off when I leave a room. I think that this will help lower my carbon footprint. I am also trying to get my family to change to CFL light bulbs. I see this problem applies to many people, but if we all start to change it will make a big difference. This link below contains some frequently asked questions and this link really helped answer some questions I had about CFLs.
