Hello people of the world. I have recently discovered my carbon footprint and would like to share it with the world.
Transportation: 1879 Kg CO2
Home, Energy, etc : 6523 Kg CO2
Food: 1183 Kg CO2
Purchases: 699 Kg CO2
I believe that i can change my footprint by driving less and commuting with others more often.

Matthew J, Oct. 3, 2013

Hello, I’m Matt from Pennsylvania. I go to Sun Valley High School in Aston, Pa. My usage for transportation is 2994 kg, home energy is 6873 kg, food is 3717, purchases is 660 kg. One way I can change is use less energy at home like unplugging electronics like chargers when I am not using them to save energy.

Andrew E, Oct. 3, 2013

Hello, I’m Andrew and I’m from Sun Valley High School in PA, USA. I’m glad to be apart of the ISCFC and just calculated my carbon footprint. My footprint is 28,557 lbs which is a lot and i feel like i could do much better to help out. Its lower than my states average which is good but i feel like it is so much which is mind blowing if so many people put this much carbon into the atmosphere. I want to get a lower carbon footprint so I am going to try to lower it by turning off all the lights and keeping my temperature at a more reasonable temperature.

Darrin B. Philadelphia PA; Sun Valley High
My carbon footprint totals are
4718 lbs for transportation
12497 lbs for home energy
10866 lbs for food
545 lbs for purchases
One way I could change my ways are to talk to my family about turning off lights when we aren’t in the room or when we don’t need them

My name is Josh I’m from Mooresville NC and I am 16 years old. My footprint was average mine came from traveling a lot. I thought it was gonna be above average. I was surprised that a lot of it came from traveling I thought maybe it would have came from all my tvs and stuff like that

I think that traveling is a big part of a lot of citizens lives so I am not surprised so much came from transportation. If you fly a lot maybe you could instead carpool or take a bus so that you can cut down your carbon footprint.

I think that you could cut down on traveling a little to help cut back

Why is it that people don’t care about there footprint?? It makes no sense. People don’t understand how big of an impact it is that how much c02 is released to the atmosphere. . .

I agree, carbon impacts our world in a very negative way.

I could literally care less about my carbon footprint, but im just one person. so i wont make a difference if i used less carbon, cause theres always going to be a person worse then me.

Hey everyone, I’m Jake and I’m from Texas. I’m 17 years old and my total co2 footprint is 15,919. I’m below my reigons average but I still feel like that’s a lot and i’m going to be making changes in order to lower these numbers and help make a better footprint.

Its possible that you can use things less like the lights, water, etc.
  • Jimmy Pro Jimmy Pro Oct. 3, 2013
I think that your footprint is not too bad and you can definitely change to make the world a better place. You should be better by the time your in your twenties.
