Hi, my name is Melanie and i’m from U.S.A. My total on my carbon footprint is 13,623kg (28,945lb.) My carbon is high because the normal amount of carbon is 17,807kg (39.257.) I think it is high because I only have 4 people in my whole family so want to make that a little less than what it is now. I am willing to try to not watch T.V all day I will take a walk instead. I was also shocked about my Total.

Hi everyone! My name is Ruta and I’m from Lithuania. In this project I’m new person. I’m very happy that my school participating in this project. When I did these questions, i was shocked because I didn’t expect such high performance. I try to save energy: never leave turn computer, if i don’t use it, in my home are some energy-saving light bulbs, when i go out from room, i never leave lights on and ect. I’m going to start sort the rubbish. Have a nice day!
my carbon footprint is way more than it should be, but I’m going try really hard to lower it. It might be hard to make changes to my life but it will be worth it.

hello to everyone…my name is büşra, a student from Turkey.we participated in this activity last week. my total footprint is 5689 that is higher than my country’s avarage. that is mostly because of using wood and coal to heat our house.
ı promise I am going to turn off the lights when i am not using and use less water.
Let’s save our Earth because we need it:))

Yes, due to this project I really have been gaining a better perception of the vast impact my own personal carbon footprint has on the rest of the world. Every little step definitely makes a difference! -

Hi Muhammet! It's nice to see that you joined this project. I think it is especially interesting that so many countries are represented. This is the perfect place to be able to speak internationally to others concerned about the environment:) -

Hello Muhammet. Nice to see you here. :)
I absolutely agree with you, Kristen. We should try to involve more people to this project. We would have a chance not only to meet new friends but also we would make a world a better place to live. :)

Yes, i did. My total footprint is 5301 kg of CO2 per year. It's quite more than i expected. I didn't think that I would be over the average of 4570 kg for Romania or even over 3791 kg for worldwide. I think the best thing i could do for a moment is to turn off the lights when i'm not in the room and shut down the computer when i'm not using it. What about you Lukas? -

My emissions were a lot higher. Would you believe that it was about 13,000 kg, because it is. What I would do to make them go down is to take shorter showers 100% of the time. By the way, turning off the computer and then turning it back on takes more power than putting it on sleep. -

oh.. it is higher. Well, good luck.
“By the way, turning off the computer and then turning it back on takes more power than putting it on sleep. ” Really? I mean, how could it take more power than putting it on sleep?

Hello! I’m new here and really glad to participate this project. It was a big surprise for me that my CO2 emission was higher than average. Now I will try to save energy by turning off the lights when I don’t need them. Also I want to do something what could make our environment more beautiful…:)
