My highest mark was on food in this I have a lot more tahn the average of my country, my lower result was in pursaches I think its because I buy only the things I need. In the other two I have the same results that the average of Spain.

The purchases is my lower result, because i don´t like go shopping and i have this area a lot of low that the average of Spain. The part where I have the highest carbon footprint is in home, because in my house We are five people and always have any people in house. The other two parts are similars to the carbon footprint to average to Spain.

You can turn off the light or any electric device at home when you are not using them. Also you can use light bulbs that doesnt produce alot of CO2.

Hi I´m Alberto Ibáñez and I´m from Zaragoza (Spain). My carbon footprint was a bit lower than the average of Spain. The area where my results were higher was transport because last year I took four flights, but I will try to reduce these results making a carbon offsetting, recycling as much as possible and using more often public transport and the bike. I think that with this proyects and all that stuff we could make people much more environmentally conscious, not just spaniards,I mean everybody. We also have to potenciate renowable energies such as solar energy or biomass.

This is addressed to those who have designed the calculator for the ISCFC.
It is great to see the movement has caught on and school kids participating in it and sharing their experience here.
However… I have seen a number of posts where children are saying their cf is large in transport because they have visited their family that stays elsewhere - even in a different continent. (Eg England > New Zealand)
Obviously these children cannot help visiting their families once a while, Adding those visits to the cf score, seem to me, like penalising teh kids for such visits. While reducing CF is a noble objective, I guess bonding with family is also equally worth encouraging. Do you think there is way to balance both?

Hi! I’m Ester from Spain. My carbon footprint is lower than the average of my country, I think I should reduce these results taking more ecological habits. Because if each person makes the things considering the environment the carbon footprint of each country will be reduced.

In public places, it could be more green zones. Also could use means of transport that does not pollute much, for example, officials could use electric cars. Another thing you could do would be to put solar panels to harness solar energy. Finally, could also use recycled paper.

Hi! I’m Marina from Spain. My carbon footprint was 6331 and the average in Spain is 6968. My higher results were Home and Food, so I will try to improve my carbon footprint in these two areas. In my city people can use public bikes and we have a great service of public transport so I think my city is an ecological place! :)

Hello my name is Ana, I live in Spain. My Carbon foot print is lower than the average of my country in the transport but shopping, at home and the food has been fairly high. We can all help improve the environment starting with our cities caring for them and respecting the cleaning, doing the same in the environment where we moemos like school. some media that can be put are special containers for each type of container, forming campaigns to raise awareness, build partnerships, etc. .. together we can create a better world, you just have to participate. a greeting
