Hello, my name is Ela and I’m from Croatia.

My family and I usually buy local and organic food which is grown in an eco-friendly way and pay attention to packaging when shopping. I make my own reusable bags and always take them to the grocery store. I try to recycle as much as I can. I usually walk or travel by buses or trains.
My parents have had our windows and doors properly insulated and we plan to switch from incandescent to compact florescent light bulbs completely. We always try to reuse and fix things instead of buying new products. I try not to be impulsive when shopping and buy things I really need and like.
I think that we could reduce our carbon footprints by recycling more at school and that we should spend less on electricity and heating by turning them off when they are not necessary.
I think that we should always appreciate nature more than technology.

Hi! I’ve a link about the internet and the energy, it’s in spanish so i’m gonna tell you what is it, it tell us the consume electric of the internet is very high, and every year the footprint of the world is a 2% more because our masive use of internet, the internet will be expanded in equal mode in Africa and Asia in the future so imagine!
And it tell us too, the social nets like twitter, facebook or something like that are very catastrophic because the millions of messages in a month of everybody.
I’m not a good example of ecologist because i use the social nets but i´m very worried for that.

Hello everyone ! Since my teacher has told me about this project I was really excited . I think this projet will help many people to understand how to become far more aware of the environmental issues. My total carbon foot print is 5984 kg of CO2 per year. I hope that after this project I will reduce my carbon footprint as in the present I have a high consume.

For curiosity I look for the consum in EE. UU. is surprising, in some states the consum is very lower but in others states (Washington, New York…) the consume is the higest of the world.
At the transports I have a high consume because I have travelled to London by plane.
I could reduce consume in home if I would haves used less hours the computer.

Hi! My name is Esteban, I’m from Zaragoza, Spain. Last week I did a test to calculate the CO2 I produce, and the result was 6305 kg/year.
It is a little lower than the average of my country (6968 kg/year).
I think this is very much CO2/person, we are so many people in the world and lot of people produces even more than the average.
This project is useful cause now we realize what we produce and now we can try to reduce the pollution we create. I hope produce less CO2 in the future.
