Good evening :)
I think it’s shame of humanity that in 21st century every 5 seconds one human being dies from hunger. In world are so much people which are wasting and trowing food when at the same time, for example, children in Africa don’t have water and any food. In my opinion reason for world hunger is that some parts of the world are undeveloped. We certainly need to change something. People can send money for their food, for building homes to stop diseases.
However, some people don’t care for that and that is something which we need to change, people need to know in what conditions people are living.
World hunger is the problem which we need to solve.
Here is link for organisation Mary’s Meals where you can donate money online and 10$ would be enough for one child education in whole year.

The culture of organic food is to be carried out because it is very beneficial to human life even if the costs are quite high. There should be agricultural policies that prevent the use of certain pesticides and harmful treatments to humans not only to animals.

hello! My name is Eleanora, i’ve 17 years old and I live in the north of Italy. World hunger is a serious problem, many people in the past have moved to solve it but the success rate was very low because people do not have the food to be able to survive are many. The difference between one and the other part of the world is really great because in underdeveloped countries or continents, the percentage of daily food is very low while in developed countries such as Europe and the food is really this cause, in some cases, even the problem of excess food, thus obesity.

The problem of food is very common in underdeveloped countries with small but especially in developed countries the problem is the amount of food that is thrown away, but also the quality of food is important. In my country, the quality of food is great because everyone grows fruit and vegetables without treatment. I grow fruit and vegetables without treatments and genuine mainly because the products are not imported and do not make me thousands of kilometers. For the quality of food is important at times we are not aware of eating and shoddy products by paying a high price.

Hello everybody :)
Space was always fascinated me but I don’t agree wholly with idea of space travel. With milions of people which don’t have water or food for surviving I think it’s absured to send commercial flights in space . With money that world spend on racets, satellits I think that half of that money will save hungry people in Africa and all around the world. Of course that we should explore space around us like we was on Moon in 1969th but it’s not necessary to look for life on Mars or on every other planet if we have our beautiful planet Earth. Greetings to all ;)

I agree with you Javier. I believe that space travel will someday become an essential part of human survival due to how quickly we are laying waste to our planet. However, I think that your estimation of our extinction in the next 50 years is a little off. With our advancing technologies, we will be able to preserve what we have left and extend our survival for much longer than 50 years. But as I said, I agree with you on your main point. -

I believe that it is and will continue to be nearly impossible to establish a colony and life on another planet. Even if we do establish a colony the planet will not contain the resources we need for survival. I believe that we need to focus on sustaining our planet rather than space travel. -

I agree with John,
that's it the true idea, to defend what we have now: The Earth Planet, our home.
However, I believe that investing in space travel development would pay off just in case our “efforts” (rather scarce, I must say) in saving our planet will not work.
In my case I'm firmly convinced that every euro/dollar spent in space return to us quadrupled.

Hello everyone. My name is Iva and I am from Croatia.I have always wondered why is there so much hunger in the world.I found out that in the world there are 870 million hungry people.I was shocked. One out of every eight people is going hungry and one in three children is underweight. It is so sad.We need to do something about it.Every year, out English teacher and pupils bake muffins to collect money. It is a good idea and you should do it.I decided to help people who are in need so almost every day I go shopping and buy food for them.I hope that I will be able to do something more for hungry people in the future.

You are right, I completely agree with you! That's a big problem but so many people don't want to do anything. We should help more and tell people about it! I hope more people will notice that and try help.

Hello, I’m Jacklin and I am in 6th grade. I believe that people should try to help other people who are starving. Some people say, “Oh,they’re starving. I don’t care.” But those people don’t know what it feels like! Instead of taking leftover foods that you aren’t sure if you really want to eat, give it to somebody that is starving on the streets. Mind as well give it, than waste it.

I disagree with you Jacklin, because giving food to people to the street is a little dangerous. I think composting might be a better choice -

I don't entirely agree with you Jordan, because composting takes several years, so you can donate the food to local food banks or other places collecting food to give to people who don't have enough food. -
Jason Hodin May 3, 2013
there are many organizations that accept food donations if you feel that streets in your town are unsafe to give away food as Jacklin suggests.

Hi my name is Sean and I am a 6th grader. Whenever we hear about hunger or people starving we just think how terrible and we don’t do anything about it! To solve the hunger problem I believe we need a better distribution of food. Why not donate some of your food to somebody who actually needs it? A cash donation to buy more food, why not? These are things we can do to help solve this problem. Also since obesity is such a huge problem in our country, why can’t we eat less (thus losing weight) and give that food to the people who need it? Another solution could be the government monitoring how much food you can buy, and then deciding how much you get, based on hobbies, number of people in your family, and a variety of other factors. Think about it, do we really need all that food?

I think you're right. We DON'T need all that food. Donate to the kids in Africa who need food and water more than we do. You can also donate to a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen -

Sean, you bring up a good point. Many people do know that there are others in this world and do nothing about it. You also have to consider this: People are greedy. People are greedy, and want to keep their food, riches, wealth to themselves. Once this problem stops and more people in this world are caring, then we can actually have more people making food and money donations to help feed those without.

Yes, and we can donate the “left over food” (that's not expired yet) to food banks.

Hi my name is Yazmin Montes de Oca, Im from Mr Reinhardt 6th period class @ Oakland High School. And I think People should realize that not everyone is lucky enough to have food every day. If we compare our country to others the U.S. has the highest rate of obesity, when other countries barely have food for every one on that country. for a example Africa’s children are dying from hunger and I bet that’s not the only country with that problem. So people think how lucky you are to have food every day.

I'm James from California, and I'm in 6th grade. I think that we are being too greedy, and we should take all the extra food we don't really need and instead give to it to those starving people. Though it would take a little time to adjust, we would barely even notice a difference after a few months. If we just cut down our food consumption by 10%, we would be lowering our carbon footprint, as well as feeding people who are much more needy. People already donate money, clean water, and clothes. So why not food? -
Samuel W-USA May 2, 2013
I agree with you James. Food is a necessity to daily life. Maybe, to help feed hungry, there should be more places to get food from. For example, we could have more soup kitchens. As Yazmin stated, Americans have the highest rate of obesity. Though in the U.S. there are still hungry people on the streets, and a much larger number of people in Africa. To lower our obesity rate and feed the hungry, we could create a policy where in resturants people can only order a certain amount of food. Shipping food to another place for the more needy in a place not capable of growing food will produce a lot of pollution, so we could build a green house or a farm imitating the needs of the plants to grow food for the hungry. It would be harder to give meat but they would at least be getting their dietary needs. We need to take action, so join the fight against world hunger.
