Apple Plots Its TV Assault

Apple Inc. is moving forward with its assault on television…working on its own television that relies on wireless streaming technology to access shows, movies and other content. Steve Jobs envisioned building a TV that would be controlled by Apple’s mobile devices.

Google Inc. is trying to enable users to access apps and Internet video on traditional TVs through its Google TV software, which shares some technology with its Android mobile operating system.

IMO, we can get ready to see the iPad enlarged to the size of flat screen TV in the near future… the same way the iPhone was enlarged to become the iPad…cool stuff.

If Apple “Onshored” iPad Production it Would Create 67,000 American Manufacturing Jobs!

That’s the conclusion reached in this study here:
http://simply-american.net/2011/11/30/comparing-apples-to-apples/

If Apple brought the assembly line for the iPad onshore into the US, it would create 67,000 manufacturing jobs right here in America. Obviously, Apple’s profit share would be destroyed since the American labor market would be payed much more than the Chinese laborers.

Siri: Why Apple will build, buy, or partner on a search engine: Siri is emerging as Apple’s game-changer that could put serious pressure on Google. But, first Apple needs to figure out web search integration.

http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/siri-why-apple-will-build-buy-or-partner-on-a-search-engine/64382

The revolutionary piece of Siri is what it does in Internet search. It’s early and Siri is still imperfect, but there are moments when Siri drastically streamlines the search process and gives us a peek at the future.

Below, Stewart Alsop, veteran venture capitalist, ex-tech journalist, and Apple watcher, says that Apple is developing a smart search architecture and is embedding its newly acquired Siri technology into all its devices and content. He also predicts that the iPad will soon become as large as a television!

You could actually go in depth in why the Status Quo is limiting personal views and actions. More or less an influence in politics and social subconsciousness.

Fashion is what seems beautiful now but looks ugly later; art can be ugly at first but it becomes beautiful later.”

James Altucher, in his post “Confessions of a Steve Jobs Fanboy,” tells us 10 fascinating things that you may not have known about Steve Jobs, starting with…

Nature vs. Nurture. Jobs’ sister is the novelist Mona Simpson, but he didn’t know it until he was an adult. Her first novel, Anywhere but Here, was about her relationship with her parents. Which, ironically, were Steve Jobs’ parents too. But since Jobs was adopted (see below) they didn’t know they were brother-sister until the ’90s when he tracked her down. It’s proof (to an extent) of the nature vs. nurture argument. Two kids, without knowing they were brother and sister, both having a unique sensibility of life to become successful artists in completely different ways. And, to me it was great that I was a fan of both without realizing they were related.”

The second part of what he said, “you've got to be a real good talent scout” bc “you need a team of great people” is also worth remembering.

Steve Wozniak, in his own way, pays tribute to his old friend, Steve Jobs - by being the first person in line waiting to buy an iPhone 4s. Quite touching.
