S.E. Cupp Attacks Climate Science and Climate Scientists on MSNBC

Chris Mooney appeared on MSNBC’s Now with Alex Wagner to talk about The Republican Brain. It was largely an interview about what’s going on with conservatives and science right now—why they distrust it so much—but S.E. Cupp, the conservative on the panel, called Mooney’s argument infuriating…

Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, ran for president in 1968. The “brainwashing” quote in this interview was probably a big factor in killing his chances of getting the Republican party nomination. He seems like he was a straight shooter… begging the question: can a straight shooter become president?

The republican party, at least subliminally, realizes that they have very few candidates that have any chance of beating out Obama’s re-election. With this unique opportunity of having absolutely no chance at victory, they are airing the insane, ignorant parts of their party that have been vying for attention throughout the last term. Having disgusted the public with their weakness, ignorance and disunity, a moderate, centralist candidate will be able to gain a powerful majority in the 2016 election.
