I am not much of a technology junkie, however I am excited for my new white IPhone 4S that I am getting this weekend as a late birthday present.

Personally, I do not understand all the hype around new technological gadgets…well that sounds a bit hypocritical next to my birthday present statement. However, I can honestly say this is my first cool expensive phone. I have one Ipod that I have had since the 7th grade and it functions fine. A lot of my friends ask me why I don’t have an Iphone or an Itouch already and I guess my family doesn’t value the latest technology as much as the rest of society.

I feel that the creation of the latest technology is a really cool thing and I do not think money invested is being put to waste. However, I think portions of that money could be used to incorporated the latest technology into helping the environment in various ways.

A growing number of accented Americans have taken to Apple’s forums to voice their complaints in the only language Apple tech support understands: the written one.

iPhone 4S can’t get its head around our dialects: The new iPhone 4S with its voice-activated personal assistant enabled by Siri software, can identify only the British, American and Australian accents. It cannot decipher the kind of English that is spoken in India. Siri is yet to enable the detection of different accents and dialects.
