I visited the Negev Desert in Israel this winter. It’s an extraordinarily beautiful place. This
desert and semidesert region of southern Israel is referred to as al-Naqab by the Arabs and the native Bedouin population of the region.
I had a chance to visit the ancient ruins, remains of the Nabatean civilization. They controlled the trade and spice route between their capital Petra and the Gazan seaports back in 100 A.D. Here’s the best video of this region that I could find.
